虎耳草制剂对慢性气管炎单纯型较喘息型疗效为高,对慢性气管炎的主要症状喘、咳、痰效果较佳。大部分患者在服药第2～3天发挥明显止咳作用,痰液消失;而其平喘作用较弱,需时较长。虎耳草科虎耳草属植物,其全草性味苦辛而寒,有小毒,具祛湿消肿、凉血止血、清热解毒之功用。传统作外用药剂。现蒲圻县人民医院用虎耳草内服以治疗急、慢性气管炎。
