2012年5月世界厨王江阴华西争霸赛,是为了扩大举办国际性的交流竞赛,期望通过世界厨王云集争艳,激发餐饮界技艺提升。进而达到促进饮食文化的多面向发展思考,提供中国餐饮业更多元化的发展空间。为了能鼓励更多厨师通过参赛提升自我,使比赛更能发挥发挥团队精神及真正达到国际中餐相互交流切磋的目的,同时发扬中餐技艺、香味、色泽、口感的精粹而决定推行以团体紧密合作,体现个人精巧烹调,突出本土菜肴特色风味的比赛。
