Periostin是近年发现的一个新的间质特异基因,其编码蛋白由835个氨基酸组成,相对分子质量约90 000,可促进成骨细胞的增殖、分化和骨膜成骨前体细胞的聚集、黏附及间质平滑肌细胞的迁移,在多种人类正常组织中都有表达。Periostin在肺癌、结肠癌、肝癌、食管癌、乳腺癌、卵巢癌等恶性肿瘤中过表达,可促进肿瘤的存活和血管生成,并可作为肿瘤细胞发生上皮间质转化的标志,其在肿瘤侵袭转移的作用也日益受到关注并取得了一些研究进展。
