在当代流派林立的中国画坛,朱葵无疑是属于写实派画家。他十分重视生活是艺术创作的源泉,从生活出发去认识和理解艺术传统,以生活为基础去创造新的艺术。朱葵没有因时代的变迁而去追赶时髦,也没有将自己禁锢于过去。他总是用自己的眼睛去看世界,用自己的手去描绘看到的并经过思考的世界,决不人云亦云、随波逐流,而是从自己建造的起点,一步一个脚印地向着艺术高峰登攀。他的道路使我想起一首郑板桥的竹石题画诗:“咬定青山不放松,立根原在乱崖中,千磨万折还坚劲,任尔东南西北风。”世人对他如何评说,他全都不在意,他实实在在地走自己的路。

All do not care, he really take their own way.
