Objective To investigate the clinical value of BD indwelling needle for subcutaneous drainage after radical surgery for breast cancer. Methods From January 2005 to December 2008, 90 patients with stubborn subcutaneous effusion after radical operation of breast cancer were randomly divided into 3 groups at the Third Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical College. The total amount and days of drainage fluid, operation time , Wound infection, local pain, patient satisfaction, direct medical costs, and analysis. Results The patients in the experimental group were highly satisfied. The incidence of wound infection and pain, medical cost and operation time were lower than those of the control group and the drainage fluid, and the days were lower than the control group B. Conclusion BD indwelling needle for subcutaneous drainage after radical surgery of breast cancer can significantly reduce the incidence of postoperative complications, saving time and effort.
