负介电各向异性液晶广泛应用于DS、ECB、GH、FLC,PDLC等显示模式的液晶显示中。此类液晶可以用来调节液晶混合物的Δε/ε⊥以改善液晶显示器件的电光特性。本文对此类液晶的结构、性质、应用及分类作了详细论述。其中侧向氰基取代类液晶具有大的负介电各向异性、高清亮点,但具有粘度大、电阻率低、光学稳定性差等缺点。侧向氟取代类液晶具有介电各向异性适中、粘度低、电阻率高以及稳定性好等特点,在各种显示模式的液晶显示中具有很大的用途。
Negative Dielectric Anisotropic Liquid Crystal is widely used in LCD display modes such as DS, ECB, GH, FLC and PDLC. Such a liquid crystal can be used to adjust the ?? / ?? of the liquid crystal mixture to improve the electro-optical characteristics of the liquid crystal display device. In this paper, the structure, properties, applications and classification of such liquid crystal are discussed in detail. Lateral cyano-substituted liquid crystal has large negative dielectric anisotropy and high-definition bright spots, but has the disadvantages of high viscosity, low resistivity and poor optical stability. Lateral fluorine-substituted liquid crystal has the characteristics of moderate dielectric anisotropy, low viscosity, high resistivity and good stability, and has great applications in liquid crystal displays of various display modes.
