“,”Objective:To investigate the association between pre-treatment liver damage and the protein levels in cerebrospinal fluid of patients with Guillain-Barré syndrome(GBS).Methods:A retrospective study was performed on 242 cases of patients with GBS who were admitted from January 2010 to January 2019, including 143 male and 99 female, aged(50.8±15.8)years old, ranging from 15 to 85 years old.According to whether there was liver function impairment before treatment, the patients were divided into the liver function impairment group(n n=27)and the normal liver function group(n n=215), and the relationship between aspartate aminotransferase(AST), alanine aminotransferase(ALT)and cerebrospinal fluid(CSF)protein levels in the two groups was compared to analyze the correlation between CSF protein levels and AST and ALT in the liver function impairment group.n Results:ALT level[(147.10±175.30)U/L]in the liver damage group before treatment was higher than that in the normal liver function group[(22.97±11.81)U/L]. The AST level[(102.50±103.20)U/L]in the liver damage group was higher than that in the normal liver function group[(21.66±7.29)U/L], and the difference was statistically significant(n P0.05). Compared with ALT and AST concentrations, CSF protein levels in patients with liver function impairment group showed no statistically significant difference(n P>0.05).n Conclusion:There is no significant correlation between liver damage before treatment and protein levels of cerebrospinal fluid in patients with GBS.
