Telecommunications companies can earn hundreds of billions of dollars in profits each year in the global voice communications market. The huge profits in this market make the data communications business eager to get a share, so they played the VoiceOver IP card. But how many users believe in Voice Over IP? Is Voice Over IP technically feasible? Are national regulations permitted? If Voice Over IP is successful, what will happen to the Internet? According to a recent user survey, most Users feel that they do not need to use Voice Over IP in place of local, long-distance, and Internet telephony. Over 95% of users do not have plans to use Voice Over IP instead of domestic phones, and 9% of users are in the enterprise.
