On September 26, 1993, four men, four women, and eight scientists came out full-bodied with spring breeze from Biosphere 2, a fully enclosed building with steel and glass structure in the desert of Arizona, Two years of isolation “paradise” style of life. The move was rated as one of “Top 10 Science and Technology News in the World by 1993” by several newspapers and news agencies at home and abroad. Biosphere 2 was once considered “one of the most exciting research projects the United States implemented since President Kennedy proposed the lunar program.” It was designed by a joint team of the United States and Britain and run by the United States “Space Biosphere Ventures” to study the possibility of human beings living on other planets.
