当今时代是节能的时代,电光源发展的主要方向是提高光源的发光效率,节省电力消耗,推广使用节能光源。当前国外节能光源有两大方向。一是用高光效光源代替原来效率低的光源;二是采用光源本身节能的办法,不降低亮度,而减少用电量。对于第一种办法,就是用效率高的荧光灯或高压钠灯、低压钠灯取代效率低的白炽灯和汞灯。将白炽灯换成荧光灯可以节电75%;而将高压钠灯代替汞灯可以节电60%。第二种办法比第一种办法节能效果小,但是广泛应用也可取得很大的节能效果。如双螺旋普灯比单螺旋普灯节电效果只有6%,但每亿只双螺旋灯泡代替单螺旋灯泡全年就可节电4亿度左右。下面简要介绍一下国外节能光源的节电效果。
