Abstract Expressionism, as the last style representative of the modernism stage, whose works are gradually entering the collection of museums, and a small part of the works retained on the market is worth the double price. As one of the most important and prolific abstract expressionists in the 20th century, William de Kooning became the focus of collection and controversy due to the relatively large circulation in the market. In September this year, the MoMA in New York gave a large retrospective of William de Kooning, which will last until December, covering nearly 200 works from public and private collections. This is the first time that MoMA has redesigned it in 2004 and has an exhibition of about 17,000 square feet of space on its six floors for an artist. This exhibition is also the first large-scale retrospective since De Koenin’s death in 1997. Believe this important exhibition, those works still flowing in the market will lead to a new market competition.
