新稻18号是河南省新乡市农科院利用多品种复合杂交聚合有利基因技术,通过系谱法选育而成。母本是来自江苏的含有抗条纹叶枯病基因的高产粳稻品种盐粳334-6,父本是天津早熟品种津星1号和沿黄当家品种豫粳6号的杂交F1材料,新稻18号充分整合了来自不同生态区品种的有利基因,在生产上表现出高产稳产、抗病抗倒、适应性强、米质较好等优点。2008年通过国家农作物品种审定委员会审定,2010年被农业部确认为超级稻品种。目前,该品种是黄淮稻区年推广面积最大的品种之一,已取代豫粳6号成为沿黄的当家品种,在生产上发挥着越来越大的作用。
Xintai No. 18 is Xinxiang City, Henan Province Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the use of multi-species composite hybrid polymerization favorable gene technology, by pedigree breeding. The female parent was Japonica rice variety Yanyjing 334-6 containing the stripe virus resistance gene from Jiangsu Province. The male parent was the hybrid F1 material from Tianjin precocious variety Jinxing 1 and along Huangdan variety Yujing 6, The full integration of favorable genes from different ecoregion breeds shows the advantages of high and stable yield, disease resistance and lodging, strong adaptability and better quality of rice in production. In 2008 through the National Crop Variety Approval Committee validation, in 2010 by the Ministry of Agriculture identified as super rice varieties. At present, this variety is one of the varieties with the largest popularization area in Huang-Huai rice area. It has replaced Yujing 6 as the yellow-headed variety and has played an increasingly important role in the production.
