一电炉与煤炉原来我国有电炉的热处理车间不多。在第一个五年计划期间,为了提高产品质量和改善工具质量,发展或加强热处理车间是必要的。近年来,由于介绍电炉的资料较多,工具热处理车间的示例设计也多,国内能制造电炉,加之对国外电炉订货控制较松,所以不免有滥用和滥选电炉的情况。如:①借故调出箱式高温电炉,另购高温盐炉;在箱式高温电炉中做锻造加热或固体渗炭。好象箱式高温电炉不能作高速钢的热处理,只有用高温盐炉才能满足质量的要求。②纲领不大的车间也选用气体渗炭电炉,不用固体渗炭。单件小批生产的高速钢热处理,采用气体氰化。②用ПН型的炉子做低温配火。
