莆田医院创办于1896年,原名“莆田圣路加医院”,1953年6月由人民政府接办,更名“莆田县医院”,迄今已94年了。它是一所综合性的市级县医院,是莆田地区医、教、研中心之一。本院核定床位450张(实际开放568张),设有23个科室12个病区。现有职工523人,其中副主任医师以上职称17人,主治医师、主管护师等中级职称79人。莆田医院9层病房主楼(部份10层),建筑面积8167平方米,1～8层为病区,可容纳355
Putian Hospital was founded in 1896, formerly known as the “Honded-Royal St. Luke’s Hospital,” and was taken over by the People’s Government in June 1953. It was renamed “Putian County Hospital.” It has been 94 years. It is a comprehensive city-level county hospital and is one of the medical, teaching, and research centers in Putian. The hospital has approved 450 beds (actually open 568) and has 23 departments and 12 wards. There are 523 employees, of whom 17 are associate chief physicians, and 79 are mid-level professional doctors and nurses.
