With advances in sensor performance such as infrared, millimeter-wave, acoustics, and X-ray, these sensors have been used to detect weapons hidden under clothing and provide a wide range of surveillance for special military operations and law enforcement processes in darkness and low light Ability. In a previously published article, we discussed this sensor technology. This article provides up-to-date information on this technology, introducing new data that shows both infrared and millimeter wave images acquired simultaneously. Infrared and millimeter-wave detection techniques are the focus of this article because the fusion of these two sensors has been recommended as the best way to solve the hidden weapon detection problem. We think it is possible to solve this problem with these different sensors, and the relevant research work is moving in this direction.
