In recent years, with the extensive running of running sports, doctors should recognize the various “abnormalities” occurring in healthy athletes such as bradycardia, left ventricular enlargement, proteinuria and hematuria. Reports of runners suffering from gastrointestinal symptoms are rare and although many of these symptoms have been experienced by athletes and are usually mild, occasionally painful to seek medical attention.
