李鳝．字宗扬．号复堂．别号懊道人等．江苏兴化人．生于清康熙二十五年(公元1686年)卒于乾隆二十二年至二十五年间(公元1757-1760年)。李鳝在康熙五十年中举以后．五十三年曾八宫廷充当画院供奉．但不久即被排挤归里。他一生不得志．经历了坎坷不平的生活道路。他在绘画方面的成就主要在写意花鸟画方面．是赫赫有名的扬州八怪之一。清末及民国。他的花鸟画对海派赵之谦、吴昌硕、刘海粟、吴弗之等都产生了很大的影响。
