戴梓(1649—1726年),浙江人,深諳火器,善詩畫,通曉天文算法,曾贏得康熙皇帝的賞識,命以學士銜值南書房,官至翰林院侍讀。後遭誣陷褫職,流放關東,死於鐵嶺。戴梓曾先後製造了三種火器:“威遠將軍炮”、“蟠腸鳥槍”和“連珠火統”。有的在當時發揮了巨大作用,對後世火器製造也產生了一定的影響。近年來許多專家學者曾論及戴梓的“連珠火铳”(以下簡稱“戴铳”)。有說這是一項領先於世界的發明,對“連珠”作了“連續發射”的解釋(《中國歷史上的科學家和能工巧匠》第135頁);有說它與近現代的機關槍很相似(《中國軍事史·兵器》第一卷95頁)。然諸說都未能全面地從構造、
Daizi (1649-1726), a native of Zhejiang province, was well versed in firearms, good poetry and painting, and was familiar with astronomical algorithms. He had won the emperor’s appreciation of Kangxi and ordered a bachelor’s degree in his study. After being framed by the post, exiled Kanto, died of Tieling.
