《纪念北平和平解放50周年展览》,初名《和平解放北平50周年纪念展》。系由中共北京市委宣传部、北京市文物局和北京市档案局三家主办,首都博物馆、北京市档案馆和正阳门管理处三家承办。1999年1月26日在正阳门箭楼开幕。在半个月的展期内,观众达7万多人次,在社会上引起较大的反响,不少观众写下了热情的留言,对展览的教育作用予以肯定。笔者接受起草该展览陈列大纲的任务后,先后起草了初拟稿、初稿、修改稿、送审稿 “Commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the peaceful liberation of Peking Exhibition”, the first name of “peaceful liberation of Peking 50 anniversary exhibition.” By the Beijing Municipal Party Committee Propaganda Department, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Cultural Relics and Beijing Bureau of Archives three hosting, the Capital Museum, the Beijing Municipal Archives and Zhengyangmen Management Office three contractors. January 26, 1999 in Zhengyangmen Arrow Tower opened. During the half-month exhibition, the audience reached more than 70,000, arousing great repercussions in the society. Many of the audiences wrote enthusiastic messages and affirmed the educational role of the exhibition.
