俗不是一个好的评价,不是一种高的层次。书法创作和理论评价也有雅俗之分,人们总想摆脱俗气,不断进入高雅的境界。我们应该知道什么是俗,怎样克服它,促进书法艺术健康地发展。钱钟书先生认为俗是包含了一种过分的行为。比如浓抹了胭脂的脸,柔软到挤得出水的男人,苏东坡体的墨猪似的书法,等等。他评论说:『轻描淡写,注重风韵的画是不会俗的;金碧辉煌,注重色相的画就几近卖弄,相形之下,有些俗气了。』 Custom is not a good evaluation, not a high level.
