“After 20 years, how do you see the 2000 West Lake International Sculpture Invitation Exhibition?” This was a question that I recently considered when I was addressing the “Battersea Park Exhibition” in London, when I just returned from Hangzhou for six weeks. The speech is very attractive, it reviews the works of art, changes in clothing, the rise and fall of the artist’s reputation and the way the sculpture is placed. The speech also aroused my conceptual shift and prompted me to think about the future. The sculpture exhibition in Hangzhou is an integral part of West Lake International Exposition in 2000. There are 55 sculptures from home and abroad participating in the exhibition,
