Currently in the UK, an eligible drug takes an average of 10-12 years of adventures, with a high failure rate in the process. This fact has prompted industry to think more closely about how it can accomplish its research and development. But tend to focus more on research and less on their development - from chemistry to medicine. In fact, from the beginning of the study until it becomes a market commodity, the work on both ends needs to account for half of the elapsed time, so drug development should be the current theme.
