对石羊河上游8个具有代表性的封育区与周围未封育对照区的森林凋落物、苔藓枯枝落叶层及其容水量、土壤含水率、植物种类、植物种丰富度指数进行了对比分析。结果表明:封育区森林凋落物平均为0.37 t/hm2,对照区为0.18t/hm2;封育区苔藓枯枝落叶层平均为24.51 t/hm2,对照区为14.51 t/hm2;0~50 cm深封育区平均土壤含水率为52.1%,对照区为41.2%;封育区苔藓枯枝落叶层容水量平均为718%,对照区为524%;封育区木本植物较对照区增加了8种;植物种丰富度指数封育区比对照区高6.65;封育区枯落物层厚度、贮量分别是对照区的14.9倍和6.1倍。说明通过封育,公益林涵养水源及水土保持的作用显著。
