This article focuses on and discusses the brake-system’s ability to withstand friction-induced vibrations due to the nonlinear dynamics that may occur in multi-instable modes. The finite element model with friction pair was used to analyze the stability of the braking system and predict the steady-state non-linear fluctuation of the squeal. The unsteady mechanism of screams is seen as a pattern-coupling phenomenon, which is usually seen as a combination.
