紫铜与钢相比,导热性好,故焊接时必须采用热量集中的热源。对紫铜薄板的对接焊接最好采用钨极氩弧焊,但此类设备价格昂贵,应用受到限制。如改用气焊或手工电弧焊,不仅操作技术要求高、生产率低,而且焊件质量差。若采用碳弧焊,可以大大提高生产率。文献介绍,紫铜碳弧焊宜采用直流正接焊接。本人通过试验和生产实践检验,紫铜薄板单侧90°折边后,用不添加焊条的直流反接焊接,也能得到熔接和封底良好的焊缝,而且通过后续处理可以进一步提高焊件的机械性能。
