A novel air-conditioning device with porous media as the main body, a porous window, was introduced to reveal the internal relationship between environmental parameters and the heat mass transfer and heat transfer performance inside the porous window. The evaluation indexes and optimization of the performance of the porous window were discussed. The design parameters, suitable working range and application prospects provide a practical method for cooling the indoor environment.
