北京城有两座白色砖筑的喇嘛塔。一是西城区阜城门内元代建的妙应寺白塔,另一是清代建的北海琼华岛永安寺白塔。这两座白塔巍巍凌空,造型别致,雄浑庄重,是北京城区的重要景物。1976年唐山地震波及北京,使这两座塔受到不同程度的损坏。北京市房修二公司古建处在1977年夏季对北海自塔进行了修缮,从1978年9月～1979年6月,又对妙应寺白塔进行了加固整修。 Beijing City has two white brick lama towers. One is the white pagoda of Miaoying Temple built in the Yuan Dynasty of Xicheng District, and the other is the white pagoda of Yong’an Temple in Qionghua Island of the North Sea. These two white pagodas are volleys, unique in shape, and they are both solemn and dignified. They are an important feature of Beijing’s urban areas. The 1976 Tangshan earthquake struck Beijing, causing the towers to be damaged to varying degrees. In the summer of 1977, the ancient construction office of Beijing Fangxiu Second Company repaired the towers of the North Sea. From September 1978 to June 1979, the White Tower of Miaoying Temple was reinforced and refurbished.
