随着中国加入世界贸易组织,市场经济游戏规则逐渐与世界接轨,“展会”经济由于产业效应强,招商引资快,逐渐成为第三产业的重要组成部分,甚至成为某些地方的经济支柱。但是,与发达国家相比,中国的展览业普遍水平不高:展览主题雷同、展会规模小、国际影响力弱、专业观众少、成交额低,甚至某些地方的展览偏离主题。如2002年3月,湖北某花卉、草业展览会由于业内参展单位太少,只能以服装厂家、食品厂家、日用品厂家凑数。
With China’s accession to the World Trade Organization, the rules of the game of the market economy are gradually becoming more and more compatible with the world. As the industrial effect is strong and the investment attraction is fast, the economy of “Exhibitions” has gradually become an important part of the tertiary industry and even become the economic pillar of some places . However, compared with the developed countries, the exhibition industry in China is generally not high: the theme of the exhibition is the same, the scale of the exhibition is small, the international influence is weak, the audience is low, the turnover is low, and even the exhibitions in some places deviate from the theme. For example, in March 2002, there was only too few exhibitors in Hubei flower and grass industry exhibitions due to the lack of exhibitors in the industry. Only the manufacturers of apparel, food and daily necessities could make up the number.
