荣获诺贝尔奖的杨振宁,是当代的大物理学家之一。20世纪的物理学史上,将会用大字写上杨振宁的名字。与此同时,杨振宁对本世纪数学的发展,亦有非凡的贡献,特别是80年代以来,导源于杨振宁的两个数学研究分支:杨-米尔斯(Yang-Mills)理论和杨-巴克斯特(Yang-Baxter)方程,先后进入当代数学发展的主流,引起文献爆炸,形成了少见的全球性研究热潮。
Yang Zhenning, who won the Nobel Prize, is one of the contemporary big physicists. In the history of physics in the 20th century, Yang Zhenning’s name will be written in big letters. At the same time, Yang Zhenning also made extraordinary contributions to the development of mathematics in this century. Especially since the 1980s, two branches of mathematics that originated from Yang Zhenning: the Yang-Mills theory and Yang-Baxter Yang-Baxter equation, has entered the mainstream of contemporary mathematical development, causing the literature explosion, the formation of a rare global boom.
