泾河是黄河流域的重要支流,也是渭河以及黄河中下游洪水的重要来源之一。通过对泾河一级阶地采集泾河洪水沉积的古地磁样品,进行了磁组构各项异度、磁面理、磁线理、磁基质颗粒度以及形状因子等参数的测定,并与风成黄土—古土壤沉积进行对比,得出泾河洪水沉积微观组构各项异度高、面理较发育、磨圆度与分选性差的特征,并通过赤平投影恢复了古洪水流向,并得出近3 000年来大洪水周期缩短至200~300 a的结论,对于泾河的防洪减灾、水资源开发利用具有重要的科学意义。
