In earlier years, crop stalks were the main fuel for cooking and burning kang, and in rural areas it was the “treasure” of peasants. With the improvement of living standard, the straw is replaced by biogas and natural gas, and is no longer the main fuel used by people. Now, referring to straw burning, people think more of air pollution. In fact, starting from 1999, the state banned open burning of straw. However, according to the survey, from October 5 to 17 last year, 20 provinces, cities and districts across the country have monitored a total of 862 fire points suspected of burning straw. In other words, straw burning is still repeated.
