[Objective] To analyze the feasibility of using EPQ (Eysenck Personality Questionnaire) to predict the emotional status of pregnant women during perinatal period and to explore the shaping effect of educational level on the personality of pregnant women. [Methods] The emotional status of pregnant women was evaluated by SCL-90. Personality characteristics were evaluated by scores of EPQ. The spearman correlation and Kruskal-Wallis Test were used to investigate the predictive value of each dimension of EPQ on the perinatal emotional state and their educational level Shaping the character. [Results] All the dimensions of EPQ were correlated with the total score of SCL-90. There were significant differences among the scores of each factor of SCL-90 in pregnant women with EPQ according to the dimension of N, which was statistically significant. There were significant differences in P dimension and E dimension among different education groups. [Conclusion] The EPQ can be used to predict the perinatal emotional state in women. With a high degree of education, pregnant women tend to be more outward-oriented and have lower mental qualities.
