中国是一个水资源紧缺的国家,人均水资源仅为世界水平的1/4。在占国土面积53%的北方干旱、半干旱地区,缺水情况更为严重,每年降雨量仅有300~500mm,且集中在7、8、9三个月,每年有1300~2000万hm~2耕地受到严重干旱的威胁。然而我国灌溉用水的利用率很低,仅为发达国家的1/2,使本来就不充足的降水不能被作物高效、合理地利用,极大地制约了旱区的发展。因此,根据北方旱农区的生产实际和已有条件,研究如何利用有限的水资源,发展具有中国特色的农业节水技术与设备,对保证我国农业的持续发展
