清末新政是中国近代妇女解放运动的重要发展时期,清末新政中的一些改革措施有利于维护妇女权益和转变妇女观念及生活方式:如禁止妇女缠足革除了摧残人性的陋习,使女性在身心方面得到解放;兴办女子教育不仅使妇女从精神思想上获得解放,也为妇女解放运动奠定了深厚的思想文化基础;妇女团体的涌现和妇女杂志的出现,使妇女不再局限于贤妻良母的角色而开始参与社会生活等,这些措施唤起了近代女性的觉醒,推动了妇女解放运动的蓬勃发展。
