Zhaotong is located on the junction of Yunnan, Guizhou and Sichuan province. Its economy is relatively less developing than other areas. There is no doubt that its education has a same situation as economy. So English leers are taught by English teachers who are mostly from Zhaotong and have a strong Zhaotong dialect accent. So students English pronunciation is greatly influenced by Zhaotong dialect. This thesis aims to analyze the characters of Zhaotong dialect and contrast the English pronunciation and Zhaotong dialect, then find out that differences between them and the problems which caused by language negative transfer.
