OVERVIEW For more than half a century, our country’s geologists have done a great deal of work in eastern China and have discovered that the Mesozoic and Cenozoic geological characteristics of this area are different from those in other regions at home and abroad or other geological stages, but have their unique characteristics . For example, Professor Li Siguang believes that the so-called “Huaxia” and “Xinhua-Xia” structures of northeast and north-north east are generally developed in eastern China, which are characterized by compression and torsion.
