Geological work in the national economic construction is a basic, preliminary work, is the construction of the forerunner. As geological work record and reflect the geological archives, in the national economic construction, the status and role is self-evident . In order to do a good job in the utilization of geological archives, this article talks about the characteristics and utilization of geological archives. First, the main features of geological archives Geological archives is the majority of geological workers formed during the geological survey, scientific research and production technology activities. In addition to its many common features of scientific and technological archives, it also has some characteristics: 1. Geological archives have a long formation period and obvious regional characteristics. Geological work is based on the needs of the production and construction of all walks of life in the country, in a certain area, to take a certain technical methods, to find all kinds of mineral resources, to provide mineral reserves and a variety of information work. Geological archives is a comprehensive reflection of geological phenomena, and the complex and ever-changing geological phenomena are all over nature. The task of geological work is to grasp as much as possible of various kinds of work areas or study areas through observation and various geological exploration methods Geological phenomena, to pseudo-true, and finally form a report. This work can not be accomplished overnight. A 1: 50000 regional geological survey reports that it takes about a dozen people to spend two to three years, and the less favored areas take longer. A mine exploration summary report not only takes longer and more manpower, but also tens of thousands of dollars in money.
