福建省消费者委员会法律支持中心(以下简称“中心”)是全国首家省级消费者组织设立的法律援助机构。中心自1998年创立以来,紧紧围绕(消费者权益保护法),认真开展以下几项工作。一是向消费者提供有关法律知识的咨询服务,使消费者了解和掌握因消费纠纷而提起诉讼所必需的法律知识;二是为那些合法权益受到严重侵害又无经济能力的消费者向法院提起诉讼无偿提供法律援助;三是当消委会的法律顾问,并受省消费者委员会的委托,参与草拟有关保护消费者合法权益的法规、规章;四是参与处理那些涉及面广、危害性大的损害消费者权益案件和损害消费者权益情节严重而又久拖不决的重大、疑难案件的调查、调解。一年多来,“中心”主动寻找各类典型投诉案件,积极参与法律咨询、索赔谈判、支持起诉等,努力为合法权益受侵害的消费者排忧解难、伸张正义,在工作中,我们注意把握和探索以下几个问题:
