The VK05CFL is a monolithic IC designed by STMicroelectronics to utilize the “VIPower M3-3” patented technology designed to drive compact 5 to 23W CFLs. The new device integrates a novel power switch and control circuit that can be used to form a self-oscillating half-bridge inverter to drive the CFL.
