在中国明代书法史上,祝允明和文徵明、王宠、陈淳并称为“吴中四名家”。祝氏狂草法书《唐宋词卷》原为已故北京大学校长周培源旧藏,20世纪80年代归无锡博物院。该手卷内容为祝允明抄录唐宋词四首,此卷属于祝氏晚年书法应无争议,但其根底仍在宋人黄庭坚,另融合了唐人张旭和怀素的一些因子,始形成此种风貌。
In the history of Chinese calligraphy in the Ming Dynasty, Zhu Yunming and Wen Zhengming, Wang Chong and Chen Chun were also referred to as “four of Wu’s four”.
