The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) reported that world food production will decline in 2002/03 due to bad weather, and food supplies will face shortages due to increased food demand and reduced stocks. Recently, the UN Food and Agriculture Organization has drastically revised its 2002 food production forecast.
