本研究基于Deci&Ryan的自我决定理论对147名来自116所中国不同高校的口译教师进行了问卷调查,研究了中国高校口译课教师的教学动机。结果显示他们教口译的外动机大于内动机,内外动机有明显的差异性;高校口译课教师的性别,职称,学历,专业和年龄对教学外动机没有产生直接的影响,但所学专业对教学的内动机产生了直接的影响,主修口译专业教口译课教师的内动机大于口译课教师来自其它专业而教口译课的;教口译的助教比讲师和副教授的内动机大;拥有博士学位的口译课教师比拥有学士学位的口译课教师内动机大;影响高校口译课教师内动机的因素是对口译课的喜爱和兴趣,而影响高校口译课教师外动机的因素不是缺乏兴趣,凑工作量和让别人羡慕而是有助于教师更好地从事英语口译工作,从而得到更多的经济利益及许多其它的外在因素。此研究是对中国高校口译课教师教学动机的初探,旨在为中国高校口译课教师教学动机提供一些实证依据。
Based on Deci & Ryan’s self-determination theory, this study conducted a questionnaire survey on 147 interpreter teachers from 116 different Chinese universities and studied the teaching motivations of teachers in interpreting courses in Chinese universities. The results showed that their motivation to teach oral interpretation was greater than the internal motivation, internal and external motivation have obvious differences; college interpreter teachers of gender, job title, education, professional and age have no direct impact on motivation, but the profession of teaching , The motivation of majoring in interpreting teachers majoring in interpreting courses is greater than that of interpreters’ teachers from other professions; the teaching assistants who teach interpreters are more motivated than lecturers and associate professors; those who have doctoral degrees Teachers in interpreting courses have more motivation than teachers in interpreting courses with a bachelor’s degree. Factors that influence the motivation of teachers in interpreting courses in colleges are the love and interest of interpreting courses. The factors that affect the teachers’ motivation in interpreting courses in colleges and universities are not lack of interest, And to envy others but to help teachers better English interpretation work, so as to get more economic benefits and many other external factors. This study is a preliminary study on the teaching motivation of teachers in charge of interpreting classes in colleges and universities in China. The aim of this study is to provide some evidences for teachers’ motivation in interpreting courses in Chinese universities.
