Surveys show that a significant proportion (about two-thirds) of large and medium-sized companies in the UK use psychometric tests and survey forms to recruit and train staff for building, expanding, and evaluating teams. Such large-scale use shows that these companies see the true benefits of testing, however, there are some pitfalls in testing that gradually increase as network testing becomes more commonplace. This article describes the benefits, problems, and trends of psychometric tests, focusing on the evaluation and development of Internet tests and emotional intelligence.
