The life of an artist lies in constant creation. The artistic work embodies the author’s culture and art accomplishment. It is also a kind of carrier for the author to create abilities. It is a concrete manifestation of the traditional culture of a nation and a country. Of course, this is not just a At the same time, he is also a kind of spirit of the world. Aristotle said: Man is a social animal. Yes, it is in this space that artists fight tenaciously with destiny and collect and create fresh works of art. The 88-year-old Professor Mu Jiaqi of Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts is such an artist who keeps abreast of times and struggles. His works and personalities are bound to show a splendid glory in the development history of contemporary art. Although Impressionism, Neo-Impressionism and Post-Impressionism were born in France, their great influence over 100 years is far-reaching for the development of world art. From the sensational effect of the “French Impressionist Treasures Exhibition” which started in October 2004 in China, we can see that the Impressionist School still possesses strong vitality. The miraculous changes that light and color produce in an instant, represented by paintings, are the highest forms of art explored and pursued by impressionist painters. Some of the works created by Professor Mu Jiaqi are such a charming impressionistic painting. Due to the relatively limited level of development of the modern Chinese painting market and critics, these works have yet to receive the attention of the society. However, the value of studying and excavating these works is a historical mission that we can not ignore.
