大足是重庆市下辖的一个县,大足石刻是分布在该县境内石刻造像的总称。5万余尊石刻造像始建于公元650年。历经唐、五代、两朱,延至明清,登峰造极干两宋。大足石刻在吸收、融化前期石窟艺术精华的基础上,以大量的实物形象和文字史料,从不同侧面展示了公元9世纪末至13世纪中叶中国石窟艺术风格及民间宗教信仰的 Dazu is a county under the jurisdiction of Chongqing Municipality, Dazu rock carvings are located in the county territory of stone statues. More than 50,000 statue of stone was built in 650 AD. After the Tang, Five Dynasties, two Zhu, until the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Dengfeng made two very dry. Based on the absorption and melting of the art essence of the early stage grottoes, Dazu rock carvings show the artistic style and folk religious beliefs of Chinese Grottoes from the late 9th century to the mid 13th century with lots of physical images and historical materials.
