端系统能力和网络带宽的异构性给大规模组播的流控带来很大困难.本文将前向纠错(FEC)技术与层次传输相结合,较好地解决了异构环境下可靠组播的流控问题.我们给出了传输调度和信道速率分配的算法,讨论了差错控制问题.性能分析和模拟表明,该方法对大规模、异构组播组可显著减少平均传输时间并且有效地利用网络带宽.只需较少数目的组播组就能得到性能的很大提高.软件FEC编码器的速度能够匹配当前的网络条件,算法易于实现,尤其适合因特网上的数据传输应用.
The heterogeneity of end system capabilities and network bandwidth brings great difficulties to the flow control of large-scale multicast. In this paper, FEC and Hierarchical Transmission are combined to solve the problem of reliable multicast control in heterogeneous environments. We give the algorithm of transmission scheduling and channel rate allocation, and discuss the error control problem. Performance analysis and simulation show that this method can reduce average transmission time and make efficient use of network bandwidth for large-scale and heterogeneous multicast groups. Only a small number of multicast groups can be greatly improved performance. Software FEC encoder speed to match the current network conditions, the algorithm easy to implement, especially for Internet data transmission applications.
