For thousands of years, people not only used plants as their material basis for survival, but also gave them a certain meaning according to their colors, shapes, or habits. They used flowers, trees, etc. as a metaphor to describe things and expressed emotions. This is common in English and Chinese. Language phenomenon. The difference in plant symbolism between different cultures is due to the differences in the cultural and historical backgrounds and aesthetic psychology of the respective ethnic groups. It is established in the development of society and the precipitation of history. It is a permanent cultural phenomenon. Therefore, in cross-cultural communication, we must correctly understand the cultural information loaded by these plant associative metaphors in order to reduce communication barriers and build a communication bridge between the two languages and cultural exchanges.
