常熟市市属工业的基础比较好,但企业改制不仅任务重,难点也特别多。近年来,他们针对这一实际情况,本着中央关于“有所为有所不为”的方针,一方面以决战的姿态,坚定不移地全力推进企业改革,同时又十分注重实效,着眼长远,狠抓机制创新,确保企业改制扎实有序发展,收到了明显成效。至去年底,市属工业企业已有33家完成改制,改制资产达38.6亿元,占市属工业资产总量的71.5％;改制企业注册资本金4.24亿元,其中企业内部职工资本金2.25亿元,占56.9％。去年改制企业完成销售收入26.8亿元,实现利润1.5亿元,实现利税2.66亿元,分别占市属工业总量的66％、115.8％和80.4％。
