文章旨在运用认知语言学理论“意象图式”对介词over进行分析,在其原型意义的基础上,探究over的中心意义与其延伸意义之间的关系,并将该理论运用到英语介词over的教学实践中。研究认为,意象图式理论对当前的英语教学有如下启示:英语教师应该注重介词多个空间意义的联系,将它们有机地组织到一个介词的意义当中,在教学中尽量用简单的图形给学生分析并举例说明,从而能够更好地促进教学效果,尤其是英语词汇教学。
The article aims to use the theory of cognitive linguistics “image schema ” to analyze the preposition over, on the basis of its archetypal meanings, to explore the relationship between the central meaning of over and its extended meaning, and apply the theory to English Preposition over the teaching practice. The research holds that the image schema theory has the following enlightenment on current English teaching: English teachers should pay attention to the relationship of multiple spatial meanings of prepositions, organically organize them into the meaning of a preposition, and try to use simple graphics in the teaching to students Analysis and examples to help better promote teaching effectiveness, especially in English vocabulary teaching.
