在非物质文化遗产保护的进程中,区域文化教育在大学生知识结构组成中的作用也开始越来越被关注和重视,这也是人文素质教育的重要组成部分。区域舞蹈教育在引导大学生关注区域文化,最直接地靠近民间大众的精神世界,培养其对区域文化的感情,增强本民族高度的认同感等方面都发挥着积极作用。在让当代大学生实现我国区域舞蹈文化现代化转换的同时,还能够培养出本土舞蹈文化的爱好者,传承本土文明,弘扬传统文化。
